JWs and National Oaths of Allegiance Expose' by Marvin Shilmer-Please Read
by AndersonsInfo inthe following three paragraphs are part of a startling new essay written by a well-respected poster on jwd.
he spent much time and money to gather proof of duplicity on the part of watch tower leaders.
marvin shilmer (not his real name) has given permission for me to put his entire essay on my website, www.watchtowerdocuments.com.

This one will make you totally sick
by Cindi_67 insounds like it says he abused a minor, 12 years old, for 3 years at a kingdom hall.
also that the jws did not report the crime.
if this is accurate, the french will definately go after them as they are not so fond of cults.

Bush rolled back taxes on the wealthy in the middle of a war he started. Is that right or even responsible? What exactly has to happen before people wake up and realize that this country is in trouble?
Stunts like "Joe the Plumber" just make me realize what absolute stupidity got us into this mess to begin with.

Your Dreams
by LouBelle inwe all have dreams - some of us see those dreams to fruition.. my constant dream/desire is to have a little bit of land in the country somewhere, with a cow (bell around her neck and all), some chickens running around, a veggie patch, a herb patch.
a safe home.
friends popping in.. a very simple dream..

It would be nice to live in the country with a few acres of land, but I'll go with good health for everyone. Everything depends on your health.

The 'anointed' and Reality
by Honesty intoday, i am 55 years old and all of the'anointed' jw's are at least 50 years old and there are over 9,000 of them.. .
between the 1959 and the 1960 memorial, 600 'anointed' jw's went to heaven and into the presence of god:.
1959 memorial partakers world-wide 14,511. .

They are a fictional group invented to maintain control over the sheeple. Even the watchtower has no real use for them when making decisions.
Just knowing some of the annointed is enough to make you realize that something's not right. It is interesting to see them keep increasing rather than decreasing. Doesn't seem to matter to the jw believers. They will take whatever explanation the watchtower throws out there.

I had 2 studies going when I realized it was all a sham. I pretty much just couldn't "study" with them any more. One I turned over and the other one quit studying. I only went out door to door once after that and I used the Bible and the tract about Jesus. I refused to write down any not at homes or interested people. The lady that went with me in service looked very puzzled when I didn't keep track of anything.
I never went out again because I felt way too guilty. I told the elder when he called for my time that I didn't have any, even though he knew I did. He had been on the study with me. That was the end of it.
I feel very sorry for any who are forced into going out by their close family. It's torture after you know it just ain't true.

Has anyone ever paid attention to....
by Vachi 8 He Is inall the self convincing that takes place regarding god?
"god is good.
god will do.

It can take a llot of self convincing. If we are going to believe in God, it's got to be about how we see him and not what others say or experience. Kind of a personal journey that has meaning to us. No one else's journey is the same.

Is it the JW's or the God of the bible you no longer believe?
by reniaa ini have a question for the ex-jw's on this forum after months of reading the forum..... many say how good it is to be free of the oppressiveness of the jw's that they can now enjoy the freedom to... have sex, celebrate christmas, gamble, embrace politics etc.
there are still biblical scriptures and principles in place that if you still followed the bible would mean you avoid these things and yet these are now embraced as one of the perks of no longer being a jw so in my confusion i ask.... if these are what you want, isn't it more correct to say you no longer follow the bible as apposed to just the jw's?.

There are a lot of Christians who do not interpret the Bible as jws do. I know the jws would say they are wrong in many areas, but it does all come down to an interpretation, even with the jws.
How about the scripture that says, One man considers one day as above another and one man considers all days the same? Also let no man judge you in celebration of a festival or new moon? Does that sound like we have a choice in what we celebrate?
There are many beautiful thoughts and good counsel in the Bible. There are also some ancient customs that make little sense today. Belief in the Bible and a personal relationship with Jesus is just that-personal. It cannot be dictated by another man or men who place themselves in place of Jesus.
Just because people no longer believe in the way jws interpret the Bible, doesn't mean they seek to displease God.

The Republicans WILL get back in! An October Surprise is coming!
by yadda yadda 2 inyou can guarantee there will be an october surprise that will scare the us public into voting bush mark ii in, john mccain.. its going to be one of the following (or a slight variation thereof): .
another bin laden message, like we saw a few days before the 2004. bin laden's fortuitous appearance swung the vote in favour of bush, something now widely admitted.an assassination of a prominent european leader like the british pm, brown.more likely, it will be an attack on iran by israel which will provoke iran and hezbollah into retaliating against israel, which will serve as a pretext for the us to help defend israel, and the american brainwashed public will of course vote for a strong, military leader like john mccain.or it will just be hezbollah alone, who are now armed to the teeth courtesy of iran, to start firing a few missiles into israel on the eve of the election...same scenario ensues as above.the us people are totally brainwashed and will vote on fear of terrorism every time now...all that has to be done is to trigger that primal fear again and mccain will sweep in, just like the most stupid and worst us president there ever was unbelievably did in 2004. the financial crisis will quickly be forgotten when the october surprise happens..

I wouldn't be surprised to see a terrorist message released close to the election. It did happen last time and helped shift attention to national security and Bush won.

What Makes a Person Vulnerable to Join a Cult ? By Steve Hassan
by flipper inmost of us often wonder with amazement how we ever got caught up in the jehovah's witnesses mind control after having been out for awhile.
and we still wonder how some of our relatives stay trapped inside it.
well, steve hassans book " releasing the bonds " explains briefly in chapter 4 how it can happen.

I joined at a very vulnerable time for me. I was about to have my first child and was scared about how to raise him. I was just a kid, how was I going to raise one?
The jws had all the answers of course. I don't think anyone should feel stupid or foolish for being taken in by a cult. It has nothing to do with lack of intelligence. Many extremely bright people fall victim to cults.
The important thing is to educate yourself when you leave so you never fall victim to similar techniques again. Steve Hassan's books are good for that.
